Shamrock Shakes...
In an effort to prove to me that his new HTC Thunderbolt takes great photos, the boyfriend used it to snap up these pics of me after I scoured the city for a McDonald’s Shamrock Shake. Of course, when I finally got it, the taste wasn’t that desirable. (I went to 3-4 different McD’s to finally get it.)
iPhone 4 > HTC Thunderbolt (these pictures don’t lie)

Spring Browology© with Hibba
by Jaclyn
Hibba NYC is a green hair removal salon in Soho run by Browology © expert, Hibba. Hibba specializes in the art of shaping your brows to fit your face. Last week I got to experience her brow sculpting first hand when I visited the salon and I couldn’t have been happier with the advice she gave me.
What do my eyebrows look like now? Much thinner than I would prefer. Everytime I...

Carlos Miele Fall/Winter 2011
What we can expect… tridimensional surfaces, overlays, playing with light and dark, satellite images, graphic stripes, clash of colors and textures.
In this season’s shows, I’ve see a lot of fox furs and silks sashay their way down the runway. Yes! Carlos Miele’s show also fulfilled that autumn appetite in his collection. He was definitely playing with colors and...

Venexiana Fall 2011
My second return to seeing Kati Stern’s wildly awesome Venexiana show! This is one of the shows I’ve looked forward to attending because I love all the colors and sparkles in her designs. It’s like prom magic each season — just give me a reason to dress in her collection everyday, I’ll totes do so!
The fall collection had fur and lots of it. I mean I’ve been...

Color Hair At Home: L'Oreal Paris Sublime Mousse...
Kittens, I went darker!!
People always ask about my hair color, and they are ALWAYS shocked when I tell them that I color my hair at home! Honestly, it’s easier and less messy than cooking. I love my hair. So, I always look for colors that look natural that I can pull off. Plus, coloring your hair at home is much much cheaper!
Two things to keep in mind. 1. Picking a color. 2. Choosing...

Links à la Mode:Tech Weekly Roundup
I am so so excited to have my article included in the FIRST EVER Tech Links a la Mode!
Cool, Chic in a CLICK!
Edited by Christen Rochon
It’s the best part about the ever-changing age of technology – It’s fashionably evolving, it’s no longer cut, dry and unattractive! It is translated differently by everyone, it’s mysterious, fashionable and chic. It’s infused in everything we do in many...

Libertine Fall/Winter 2011
I am particularly new to this designer, Johnson Hartig, but I left the show quite impressed by the line. I think it’s best summarized as streetwear-chic. Why? The colors were so bold and eye-catching. The graphic prints remind me of skateboarders and street art. Hartig was able to bring a lot of these elements from the street into wearable pieces.
Perfect for those with a loud personality...

How I Blogged My Way Through Fashion Week With...
This past New York Fashion Week, I decided to step it up a bit and challenge myself. No laptops. No elbow jabbing in the AOL Media Lounge. Just me and my iPhone 4. I am fashion geek, in both senses. In our digital world, everyone craves content immediately. I want to satiate their appetites with instant gratification of NYFW happenings. All I needed was a few iPhone apps and a charger, and I was...

Silvio Liu Fall/Winter 2011
When Silvio Liu debuted last season, the collection was full of play and whimsy. For the fall, it looks like they transitioned into sophistication and luxury. The iconic New Yorker woman comes to mind when you look at the line. She is independent and driven, yet still maintains a soft and feminine side.
Designer Brian Wood drew his inspiration for the collection from the centuries...

Vivienne Tam Fall/Winter 2011
This show was probably the most stunning one I’ve been to. It was my first time seeing a show at the Theatre and I was simply taken aback at the sheer size of the venue. Times like these are exactly what you dream being at fashion week feels like. Sitting alongside some of the most influential people in the industry, you can’t help feeling just a little special.
Then there were the...

Milly Fall/Winter 2011 Collection
Milly simply captured my heart! Such a fun, colorful and youthful collection by Michelle Smith. The fall collection includes her ready-to-wear and accessories in a jewel-tone-infused color palette inspired by Guy Bourdin.
“My Fall 2011 collection is rich and luxurious in color, texture and detail, focusing on a longer silhouette, always with a touch of youthful levity,” says...

Ruffian Fall 2011: Tuxedo Park
I started my shows on Day 2 of fashion week with Ruffian at 9 AM. As you can remember, on Day 1, I was a bit preoccupied with the IFB Conference. Even before the day of the show, I’ve been hearing so much good things about the collection to be presented, and anything with the name “tuxedo” in it brings immediate intrigue to me.
So we have the tuxedo suit, popularized...

Republishing the Topshop SoHo Opening Day...
Back in April of 2009, this was the first event I live-tweeted and blogged about. I didn’t blog about it on my current blog here, but on a much older one I used to have on Blogger (called Love. Sparkle. Shine. if you were curious).
I’ve been feeling all sorts of reminiscent of my younger years (high school/college), the days when I used to intern in fashion. I remember this Topshop...

Joy Cioci Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection
Have you ever wanted to own everything in a designer’s collection? Well, this is how I feel about Joy Cioci’s fall line. If its not a dress, its a skirt, or an oversized sweater that Cioci used to emphasize the feminine body. The combination of colors and textures she used were soft, in pastels, in neutrals, and earthy tones that help pull out the allure of every piece.

#NYFW Goodies: Kmart Fashion Concierge
Reminiscing about fashion week cannot be, without mentioning this fab service from Kmart. Fellow bloggers and I had the opportunity to order items from a menu filled with fashion week necessities.
It was such a great way to utilize Twitter during the week. After you are invited into the program, all you had to do was tweet @KmartFashion with items you need with the #KmartConcierge hashtag, and...

R&Em Handbag Launch "My Only Crime is Love"
I ended up taking a mugshot last week inside Macy’s Herald Square during the launch event of new and exciting handbag line, R&Em. So what makes this new Spring/Summer collection so exciting?
First, the design are pretty girly, fun and flirty! Second, it is completely vegan, meaning animal friendly fur and materials. Third, the price point is amazingly in the affordable range...
