Rock Star Princess

Leather jacket - H&M
Graphic tank - Forever 21
Tiered skirt - ASOS
Clutch - c/o Botkier
Tights - Victoria’s Secret
Wedges - UK Style by French Connection

I was channeling Taylor Momsen’s Topshop VIP preview look when I put this ensemble together. I’m not normally this edgy, but fashion is all about experimenting, right?

Serpent bracelet - Stella & Dot (shop)
Black Swan cuff - c/o Jewelmint
Pyramid bracelet - Forever 21

I am getting back on track with posting! Just got out of the holiday/new year hibernation mode + my little Atlantic City getaway. I have so much things in the works — majorly excited :) :)

back button fancy…

Headband as necklace - New Look
Back button sweater - c/o Lands’ End Canvas
Striped boyfriend shirt - H&M
Crossbody bag - c/o Botkier
Tiered skirt - ASOS
Shoes - c/o Call It Spring
Cuff - c/o  Kora

This sweater was one of my favorite items I saw at the Lands’ End Canvas Fall 2011 preview. The buttons on the back makes it such a delightful addition to my wardrobe. When Lands’ End Canvas asked me to pick one of their awesome sweaters to style on this blog, I was plenty excited! Here’s a cozy look to warm up with for this Autumn weather.

I’m surprised that I’ve already gotten used to looking at myself as a blonde. Can’t believe I didn’t do this earlier!

Shamrock Shakes…

In an effort to prove to me that his new HTC Thunderbolt takes great photos, the boyfriend used it to snap up these pics of me after I scoured the city for a McDonald’s Shamrock Shake. Of course, when I finally got it, the taste wasn’t that desirable. (I went to 3-4 different McD’s to finally get it.)

iPhone 4 > HTC Thunderbolt (these pictures don’t lie)

St. Patrick’s day was tumultuous for me. I had some issues with the drunk touristy parade people who thought it was okay to be racist, then I met up with the inspirational team behind the budding new design label, AmareSinh.

Outfit rundown:

  • Old motorcycle jacket from random shop
  • Tank top from H&M
  • Glitter-laced scarf from Kmart
  • Skirt from Zara
  • Leggings from H&M
  • Boots w/ leg warmers from Kenneth Cole
  • Crossbody clutch courtesy of Botkier
  • Pave stud earrings courtesy of Coach via giftcard

Botkier Fall 2011 Preview

It’s all in the details…

Wildly excited to the see the new fall line from Botkier! After speaking with the amazing people from Shine Media PR about how much the new collection will blow your mind, I was, of course, giddy with anticipation.

Also new this season is a the location of the showroom! I snapped a few pictures of the new digs to give you guys a little sneak peek. :)

On to the bags. Really strong and cohesive collection! I love the use of such bold colors in the skins. Amidst the dyed cowhides and lambskin, was the gorgeous lizard embossing. Texture is such a great detail to play with, but not the only one Monica Botkier used. There was a lot of attention to detail in each bag, down to their names. I could sit and analyze it all day, but the highlights are below!

Starry Night Crossbody & Trigger Clutch in Electric Purple

Trigger Line in Cayenne, mmm spicy!

Trigger Line in Ash

The Sebastian bags in Pearl Sand (above) immediately caught my eye with the scaling effect the leather is manipulated to show.

Apollo line in Forest Green

One of my favorite photos, the Flint bags in Dijon, the color is just so fierce.

Juno Satchel & Hobo in a fantastic T-Moro Leopard. Rawr.

Juno Line in Pearl Sand

Sebastian Hobo & Shoulder Bag in an ultra-rich Hunter Green

The Lake Hobo in a multitude of Plum shades

Brinks Shoulder Bag & Satchel in Saddle

Now to my favorite, the Misha collection, inspired by a bag Monica’s grandparents had. It is so classic, sophisticated and chic. the hardware can deliver instant class to any outfit. Great item for day to night flexibility as well. The clutch is my favorite.

Artwork in the lobby.

DETAILS:

This color is called Ox Blood. Amazing.

Double-zippers

Embedded buttons.

Favorite. Double bullet buttons in Antique Nickel.

Full set of photographs from the preview can be found on my Flickr!

xx
