Wow. This was one of the most stunning shows I was lucky enough to be at during NYFW. The collection was full of amazing leather daywear, to sparkly cocktail dresses and gowns. It was made for the strong spirited woman who is also sophisticated with a touch of edge. The silhouettes are sexy, yet, very classy at the same time. I simply adore the polished slicked-back high pony on the models. Any true New York girl would LOVE this collection.
Hope you enjoy some photo highlights of the show. There are tons more uploaded in my Flickr account here.

Inspired by the ultimate jetsetting woman. The collection is designed with glamorous galas and red carpets in mind. This girls craves the limelight and wants to be seen across cities around the world. With such showstopping colors in luxurious fabrics, elegant up-dos and rich design, it’s only natural to go with neutral details.
Pattie Yankee, for Dashing Diva, painted fingers and toes with nudes and beiges colors, which includes Boarding School, Season Tickets, and Trust Fund.
The crowd went crazy with the final look, the Shanghai Blue Dragon Scale embellished gown. Anyone wearing this will be sure to make an impression. Plus, I love the extra edge on some looks with the models wearing complementing moto-gloves!

Chris Benz was all about the dolly dress-up and holiday glam! Sparkly and glittery — just about every girl’s secret obsession. Pop color and patterns prevailed on the models. It’s only natural that the makeup matches accordingly.
The inspiration for the makeup look was 1980s Dolly Parton meets Liza Minnelli in Cabaret. Lancome lead artist, Daniel Martin, created a look that focused on the eyes with soft tangerine lips. To get this pretty but disheveled look, first block out the eyebrows with Elmer’s glue and top it off with concealer/powder mix.
For the eyes:
- Color Design 5 Pan Palette in Violet Magnetique (available Fall 2012)
- Color Design Eyeshadow in All That Glitters
- Hypnôse Drama Mascara in Excessive Black
On the lips:
- Rouge In Love Lipcolor in 307N Sweet Embrace
- Blush Subtil Palette in Nectar Lace
- Juicy Tubes in Pure
Products are available on Lancome.com.

This season, I also was so happy to have met Yuna in person backstage. I am beyond honored that she recognized me from my blog! A huge congratulations to another gorgeous collection!!

We are probably looking at the most fun DIY nail art project for next season! I got a chance to speak with CND’s very own Jan Arnold backstage about the swirls you see on the models for Nicole Miller’s psychedelic 60’s flashback. The design is aptly called “Time Machine” and it’s very fun — almost cartoon-like.
Strong colors are very much back and it’s such a delight to see the primary hues on the runway this season.
Dare to try it at home?
Start with a base of CND Colour in Plumville then whirl and twirl to your heart’s content with Electric Orange, Bicycle Yellow and Anchor Blue with a toothpick or a fine eyeliner brush.
